Our set of towels made of pure off-white waffle linen (9.5 oz/square yard, Oeko-Tex certified), is perfect for people with sensitive skin or those who are allergic to other materials. Using linen things for personal hygiene is a logical choice: linen is a natural antibacterial, it is anti-allergic and its degree of absorption is superior to all other materials, as well as being a sensible environmental choice.
However, remember that linen is not a soft material, it has a naturally abrasive side and this set of towels is no exception. The towels are thick and fluffy, but they don’t feel soft like they would if they were made from cotton.
The bath towel and hand towel have an overlock finish and zigzag embroidery on their long edges (this waffle linen is too thick to be edged in the usual way) which gives them an authentic handmade look. They have fringes on the ends. The washcloth has fringes on all four sides. The fringes are secured with a very short stitch so that they do not continue to unravel when washed.
The bath towel measures 26” x 42” – 66 x 106 cm. The hand towel measures 14″ x 26″ – 35.50 x 66 cm. The washcloth measures 13 inches² – 33 cm².
