Striped tea towels with linen loop for hanging: $22
Special introductory offer: $16.50
These tea towels made from a beautiful striped canvas will be a favorite for those who love raw and imperfect materials and things. This 400 gr/m² – 9 oz/y² canvas requires a simple finish, which is to be edged at the ends with selvedges left as is.
This canvas is made of pure eco linen. It is woven in a width of 20” initially, then once washed and dried in the machine, the piece is only 16” wide. The weaving is done using a different yarn for the warp and for the weft. This means that the shrinkage occurs differently in length and width and produces some waves on the selvedge side. These waves are not fully resolved by ironing the fabric. To say this canvas is the perfect of the imperfect is the best way to describe it.
Linen is cut to 29″ to make tea towels, but again, it rebels when ironed and stretches more or less in length and width. In the end, the tea towels are about 16″ wide and about 27″ wide when edged at both ends.
The tea towels come in black and natural stripes and two natural tones.
