Our Taylor dress in pure natural linen is inspired by historical clothing. Romantic and timeless with low sleeves gathered at the arm and wrist, it is reminiscent of the coarse linen garments worn by children in the nostalgic paintings of Caesar Pattein whose work pays homage to French peasants and their work.
The dress has a very loose fit with an open back that closes with a single button selected from our vintage collection dating back to the 1950s. The waist is cut a little higher than the natural waist. The sleeves end with a sleeve band made of Beige Linen whose color contrasts nicely with the greyish tone of the dress when sewn in the Open Weave Eco Linen. This dress could be very well suited for a country or boho wedding. Those who like prairie style dresses will certainly fall in love with this one.
The Taylor dress is available in Open Weave Eco Linen (Oeko-Tex certified) in 6 oz./y², which has a flowing and dancing fall, worn here by Léa in size 7-8. It comes also in Beige Linen (see the Taylor top worn by Dalia and the Flora trousers worn by Ema) in 4.5 oz./y² which has that oatmeal tone we recognize so well and in Grey-Beige Éco Linen (Oeko-Tex certified) in 5.3 oz./y², which has that more or less gray tone whose variations are entirely due to the amount of sun and rain the linen crop received.
The Taylor dress is available in sizes 3-4 | 5-6 | 7-8 | 10-12 | 14.
